Masego, the genre-bending, self-taught saxophonist, pianist, singer and producer, finds his sweet spot in the in-between. Pioneering a music genre blend dubbed "TrapHouseJazz," which he coined at the age of 15, the artist performs a completely reimagined version of his song "Queen Tings."

Recently, Masego played a live set for "Salon Stage" where he performed popular records of his. He produced on the spot, whipped out his saxophone when needed and crooned, his voice both intoxicating and mesmerizing.

However, Masego's music is not just in conversation with the many instruments he plays or with the genres - like Trap music, House music and Jazz - of which he's most inspired by. Masego's culture and upbringing is also deeply influential. He is the product of Jamaican parents; his early musical exposure came from the church and he was raised in Virginia, from the area that produced musical icons like Pharrell, Missy Elliott and Clipse.

Despite Masego's popularity and collaboration with some of music's brightest like GoldLink, SiR, and DJ Jazzy Jeff, he hasn't released a debut album yet. But that's all about to change, as his 13-track debut titled "Lady Lady" will arrive Sept. 7. And that's not all. Masego will also head on the road with Leon Bridges and then headline his own tour this fall.
