Supply Chain Dive reporter Emma Cosgrove sits down with Bertha Jimenez, CEO of RISE Products, to discuss how turning unwanted food byproducts into new products has to potential to create zero-waste businesses.
"We believe that everyone can help in reducing waste, but industries do play a big role in what we consume, what we use and where waste goes," Jimenez said.
RISE products, based in New York, repurposes used grain from local breweries to make high-protein baking flour. The company is now exploring a partnership with Budweiser.
